What You Should Know Before
Starting myfortic® Therapy


Your doctor will need to know the answers to the following questions before you start taking myfortic. Also be sure to discuss any other medications you may be taking.

General precautions

Pregnancy and breastfeeding (if you have a child or plan on becoming pregnant)
Discuss your general medical history with your doctor
Any medicine(s) that you're taking, whether prescribed by a doctor or not, including over-the-counter cough, cold, allergy, or natural/herbal medications
The medications you may be taking after your transplant
Potential side effects from your transplant medications

Other medications may interfere with myfortic:

While you are taking myfortic it's very important not to take any medication that is not prescribed by your doctor, including over-the-counter antacids, cough, cold, allergy, or natural/herbal medicines—unless specifically directed to do so by a member of your transplant medical team.

Your doctor or pharmacist will have more information about medicines to avoid while taking myfortic.
