myfortic is an antirejection medication for patients who have received a kidney transplant. myfortic is taken in combination with other antirejection drugs. Because your transplanted kidney did not come from your own body, myfortic prevents your immune system from reacting to your kidney so that it can be accepted as a healthy part of your body-not something foreign-and function more normally.

Important Safety Information

myfortic should be taken on an empty stomach, 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. When taking myfortic, swallow the tablet whole-do not crush, chew or cut myfortic tablets-so the enteric coating will not be damaged.
